Barcelona share Gavi update as midfielder continues recovery from knee surgery

Barcelona have offered an update on midfielder Gavi as he continues on the long road to recovery after undergoing knee surgery.

Gavi went under the knife in September and was subsequently ruled out of action for five months in what was a huge blow to the midfielder and the club.

Yet he’s been spotted at the training ground this week as he takes a step forward in his rehabilitation.

Sporting director Deco also offered an update on Gavi in his recent interview on Cadena SER.

“Gavi is doing well. This week he started something on the field,” he said. “I’m not an expert on this, but it’s said that this surgery helped his knee a lot; it will be a much more freed-up knee for working. It’s expected that his recovery will be very good.”

We still won’t be able to see Gavi in action until February or March of next year, but there’s no doubt that when he does finally made it back into first-team action he will give the team a huge lift.
