Robert Lewandowski stays focused on Barcelona despite future uncertainty

Robert Lewandowski spoke to the media ahead of Barcelona’s Champions League match against Club Brugge, focusing on his performance and the team’s objectives. The 37-year-old striker, whose contract runs until June 30, 2026, said he is concentrating on helping the team rather than making decisions about his future.

“I am not in a hurry, I am calm, it is not the most important thing right now,” Lewandowski said when asked about a possible contract extension. “The most important thing will be how I feel at the end of the season. I will have to decide what to do with my life, but for now I am focused on scoring goals and helping the team win titles.”

After a start to the season disrupted by injuries, Lewandowski said he is physically ready to contribute. “I feel good after the injury, physically very well. I already played a few minutes three days ago and what matters most is how I can help the team win,” he explained. “It does not matter how the season starts, but how it ends.”

Amid speculation about a possible departure, Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi said no decisions have been made regarding the striker’s future. “Lewandowski’s contract with Barcelona expires in the summer of 2026, and no decisions have been made yet. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the coming days,” Zahavi said, also dismissing reports linking Lewandowski to Saudi clubs.
