‘There’s no magic cure’ – Joan Garcia talks Lamine Yamal’s injury at Barcelona

Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia has been chatting about Lamine Yamal’s current pubalgia issues and admits it’s a really difficult injury to manage.

Yamal has been struggling for a little while now and has just received some treatment which will keep him out of Spain’s World Cup qualifiers against Turkey and Georgia.

Garcia has seen Yamal struggling in recent weeks and admits it’s a problem that is difficult to fix.

“Everyone says a groin injury is complicated. I’ve seen it firsthand. You have to be very careful with it. There’s no magic cure,” he told RAC1.

“You have to be careful with the workload and increase it gradually. It’s true that  Lamine has progressed quite well and we hope he continues to do so.”

Barcelona will be hoping that Yamal’s recent treatment, and some rest over the international break, will help the teenager making a step forward in his fitness. He’s expected to return to action, along with Garcia, in Barca’s next game against Athletic Club.
