Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is reportedly keeping tabs on Koln starlet Said El Mala ahead of a possible move next summer.
The update comes from Diario Sport and a report that Flick is well aware of the winger’s rise to prominence this season.
The teenager has burst into the first team with the Bundesliga club, where he’s already opened his account, and has also been called up to the senior Germany squad by boss Julian Nagelsmann.
Nagelsmann explained why he chose to call up the youngster after naming his latest squad: “We are keeping an eye on the talents from our U21 team and, in consultation with Toni Di Salvo, want to give them the chance to show what they can do in the senior national team. Said El Mala should show us his carefree and light-hearted side.”
Sport say that Said El Mala could cost around 30 million euros, slightly less than the option to buy Marcus Rashford, and feel he’s a real option for Barcelona if they do try to strengthen the left flank next summer.
