Barcelona youngster Landry Farre ruled out for 3-4 months with knee injury

Barcelona Atletic have been hit with another injury blow as Landry Farre has been ruled out for a significant period with a knee injury.

The 18-year-old was forced off at the weekend in the defeat to Espanyol and tests have now diagnosed ligament damage.

Here’s the club’s official statement:

“The tests carried out have shown that the Barça Atlètic player Landry Farre has an injury to the lateral collateral ligament of his right knee. He will follow a conservative treatment and the estimated recovery time will be between 3 and 4 months.”

The news is a real blow to Farre and to Juliano Belletti. The Barca Atletic boss has already lost Xavi Espart to a knee injury and has now seen another key player sidelined.

Barca’s first-team has also had real problems with knee injuries this season. Joan Garcia underwent surgery in September, while Gavi has also been forced to go under the knife once again.
