Bayern Munich chief Max Eberl has been discussing Harry Kane’s future and does not seem concerned the striker could leave for Barcelona.
The Catalan giants are believed to be keen on Kane, but Eberl is hoping that contract talks will bring agreement on a contract extension for the England captain.
“We will meet with Kane in January 2026 to talk about his future as we had agreed. I think we all sense that he is happy at Bayern and how comfortable he feels here. Really, I’m not too worried that Kane will leave us despite everything that’s being said,” he told Bild.
Eberl also thinks that Kane could be in the running for the Ballon d’Or in 2026 after starting the season in prolific form for the Bavarian giants.
“In my opinion, Harry can play an important role this year in the Ballon d’Or voting because of the season he is having and what he did last year,” he added.
“It’s incredible what he’s achieving and I think he should be, at the very least, in the top three of this award. If I voted, I have no doubt that I would be the first because of everything he gives on the pitch. For us he is a very important player.”
Kane has also spoken about his future this week in the build-up to a Champions League clash with Arsenal and played down talk of a transfer.
