‘Attitude was key’ – Hansi Flick happy with Barcelona’s Copa del Rey win

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick hailed his team’s attitude after Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Guadalajara in the Copa del Rey.

Goals from Andreas Christensen and Marcus Rashford sealed a hard-fought win for the visitors and a place in the next round for the Catalan giants.

Flick felt his team played well and that their attitude was the key to the victory.

“I’m very happy with the players’ attitude and the victory. These Cup matches are difficult, but we played well. The important thing is the attitude and mentality we had throughout the match,” he told reporters.

“These matches aren’t easy, I’ve said that before. I’m happy with my players’ attitude on the field. That’s the key to our victory. It’s not always easy to score in matches like this, but we did.”

Barcelona now head home for their final La Liga fixture of 2025 against Villarreal at La Ceramica on Saturday.
