Jan Virgili has been impressing at Real Mallorca after leaving Barcelona in the summer in search of regular game time.
The winger has four assists in eight La Liga games so far this season and has also caught the eye with a brilliant goal for Spain’s Under-21s.
Mallorca journalist Miguel Chacartegui has been asked for his verdict on the youngster and feels it’s entirely possible he could swap clubs next summer.
“I think Barça has a surplus in that position. Relations between Mallorca and Barcelona are good, as we’ve seen with Pablo Torre and Jan Virgili,” he told Sport.
“There was also talk about Hector Fort, although he ended up at Elche. If the player wants to return, Mallorca won’t stand in his way.
“Here, we all think that Jan Virgili will change teams next summer.
“We are very clear that he will not stay here long, because he does not have a high buyout clause and he is one of the best players in La Liga.”
Barcelona have a right of first refusal for any transfer involving Virgili, meaning there is a chance he could return if he does decide to move on next summer.
