Jules Kounde posts epic response to claims he will miss Spanish Super Cup with injury for Barcelona

Jules Kounde has been making a habit of responding to speculation on social media and has offered a fresh update on Sunday night after going off injured against Villarreal.

Kounde was replaced late on which led to a swift report from AS claiming that things weren’t looking good for the Frenchman and he could now miss the Spanish Super Cup in January.

The Barca defender offered a response to the post from Javi Miguel (which has magically since disappeared) on X which tells you exactly what he thinks about the speculation.

Meanwhile, Hansi Flick spoke about why Kounde was taken off after the game.

“I think Koundé is fine. He was sick for the last three or four days and didn’t arrive at the match in the best shape he should have been,” he explained.

“I don’t think what happened today is anything serious.”

Kounde will at least get to enjoy a brief break now as La Liga pauses over the festive period. Barca then return against Espanyol on January 3rd before heading to Saudi Arabia for the Super Cup.
