Pedri names his best players in the world and includes two Barcelona team-mates

Pedri has emerged as one of the best players in the planet during his time at Barcelona and has now been asked to name the players he thinks are the very best.

The Barcelona midfielder went for two of his team-mates – Lamine Yamal and Raphinha – as he listed six stars as the world’s best right now.

“Mbappé, Lamine, Salah, Haaland, Raphinha or Julián Álvarez are the best in the world,” he told Esquire magazine.

“I want to play against all of them, except Lamine, who plays with us. Even more so with Haaland and Salah, because I haven’t faced them yet.”

Pedri is set to come up against the best players around next summer when Spain head to World Cup 2026. La Roja will be one of the favorites for glory and Pedri thinks it’s a tag they deserve.

“It’s not an exaggeration, no. Winning a World Cup is always very complicated, there are great teams,” he added.

“Argentina, the current champion, will be there. And also England, Germany, France and Brazil, which are always strong. But so are we.”

Spain will take on Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay in the group stages and will be expected to comfortably make it through to the knockout stages.
