Barcelona star Raphinha bites back after being left out of FIFPRO World XI

Barcelona star Raphinha was a surprise omission in the FIFPro World XI which was announced this week and featured team-mates Pedri and Lamine Yamal.

The Brazilian won three titles last season with Barcelona, scored 34 goals in 57 games and finished fifth in the Ballon d’Or but it seems that wasn’t good enough to make it into the FIFPro team which is voted for by more than 20,000 professional male footballers.

Here’s the team:

Raphinha has now responded on social media by posting a series of photos showing some of his best moments from last season. The Brazilian’s images showed how he also bagged 26 assists, was the joint highest scorer in the Champions League and was named La Liga’s Player of the Season.

The forward is currently still on the sidelines due to injury but there is hope that will be back soon. He’s not in the squad to face Club Brugge, but new reports claim he’s not yet been ruled out of the weekend’s trip to Celta Vigo.
