Dani Olmo hails Joan Garcia after Barcelona beat Alaves

Dani Olmo praised Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia after Saturday’s 3-1 win over Alaves in La Liga.

Barcelona had to come from behind to take all three points, with Olmo bagging a brace for the Catalan giants.

Hansi Flick’s also needed Garcia to be in top form, and Olmo was thrilled with the goalkeeper’s performance aat Camp Nou.

“Alavés’ goal was a bit of a surprise, but the team handled the situation very well. We stuck to our game plan, I think we dominated, and in the end, we managed to win,” he told Movistar.

“They had their chances; they’re a team that takes the initiative and plays very well, but we also have Joan, who had a great game and always shows up when we need him.”

“I’m very happy with the two goals; it’s a dream come true to be able to play here, especially to score and help the team win.

“We’re happy to have as many players available as possible, delighted for Raphinha and Pedri, and eager to see more of them.”

Barcelona now turn their attentions to a huge La Liga fixture as they take on Atletico Madrid next.
