Loan watch: Hector Fort scores his first goal for Elche after Barcelona move

Hector Fort opened his account for Elche in midweek in the Copa del Rey win over CD Quintanar.

Eder Sarabia’s side needed extra-time to beat the minnows, with Fort coming up with the goods at the very end of the game.

Check it out below:

It’s a great moment for Fort as he enjoys a productive loan spell at Elche. The right-back has made seven La Liga appearances as well this season after deciding to move on in search of more regular game time.

The right-back has already come up against Barcelona this season and enjoyed a chat with Hansi Flick after the final whistle.

”A game like this is special: the first time I play against Barça. We have given everything we had, we are doing well and continue to add,” he told DAZN.

“Hansi is a close person who cares. That’s what he did: he asked me about the last injury and if I was happy. I would like to thank Hansi for his interest.”

Barcelona are thought to be happy with Fort’s progress so far, and he’ll know that if he can impress this season he may have chances back at Camp Nou next year.
